Lavender
About this distillation
This heady hydrosol is distilled from culinary lavender grown on a spray free farm outside of Ritzville, Washington where, every season, the grower leaves a few bushes unharvested for the pollinators.
Despite the care taken over this lavender, it is unknown whether it is French or English Culinary Lavender . The hydrosol packaging has become the label version of the sister/daughter scene in Chinatown.
Regardless of the variety, only the buds were distilled in small batches.
There are many small, loving batches made and a few more to come, so I’ll refrain from waxing poetic about batches past. But I have made a number of fantastic mistakes that I’ll post about.
Use it as a refresher – either for your personal space or for linens.
